I am so happy with my 06 Standard Softail !!!No regrets here!
Bought it new at the end of October, Dealer HAD to get rid of remaining 06 models so MOCO would give them LOTS of 07's.
07's right next to the one I bought, difference of about 5K out the door!!
I'm happy..
I'm still making my 06 "mine"! The FLSTI was a 2006 model year only - that's something I like about it - there's not many on the road. I'm not big on speeds over 65 mph with no windshield, so I don't miss having a 6th gear. Nope, I'll be keeping this one for probably 10 years, til it's time to move up to the geezer glide.
buddie i ride with bought 06 last year wanted 6th speed tho, and now could care less about any sounds noise power heat..ect because he always modifies the engine to the max(no money left for tranny) and rides at 80mph all day. out the door he had them put cams, reinhardt true duals, sert,ac and is saving for big bore kit. neither of us like the cheap emblem on gas tanks? I hear voices now after reading these posts... is this a potential issue I might have with the 07 (mental anguish?) or do i have an excuse to modify a bike I am happy with?
