Dealers are cutting prices in different ways. Most dealers I spoke to were dropping $4k off the MSRP of the 1125's and the 12R only, no discounts on other models. They were down to about 8 grand OTD, about the same price as the XB9. Depending on mileage/condition, the bike may be worth 6500, but I think you would be hard pressed to find someone who will pay it. Just to many faster rockets out there for less.

+1 We are in a depression, people are broke, housing foreclosure is at a high and now is not the economic best time to sell anything including motorcycles. There are many different parts that go into different models so first check what's in them and what you are going to use them for. I am sure there will be OEM parts for a very long time from HD as per law. I do not own one but if the timing and opportunity is right, why not? I am sure they are lot's of fun to ride. They have an aluminum perimeter frame and are very light + stable. Now if someone made a 155 ci kit.....hummmmm

I went over to the dealer to buy a part for my Dyna. The part was marked in the system as obsolete. I said to the guy that the bike was an 04 and the parts should still be available for at least six more years.

He said that's only for cars. Motorcycles are considered recreational vehicles and the law does not apply. Even if it's not true the part I needed was no longer in production.

Ask your salesmen about this. If he says you can get parts. Ask him how long and make him prove it in writing.

Ok I am going to be an ***.. Weren't they always ??? Sorry I couldn't resist. I hated the blast during riders edge. Felt unnatural the riding position... I am sure some people love them but if i never ride on one again I will be happy.

If you want a Buell because it's the type of motorcycle you want, it is only worth what you are willing to pay. Shop around and don't worry about resale value before you even buy something. Buells have always had crappy resale value (although better than most asian bikes). Parts will be plentiful for years.
