When I ride the R1100Rs I wear a full face because I ride it a whole lot different than the Harley. First thing you ask a BMW rider is How far can you lean?
Had a HJC(?) half helmet until the crash (first and only) still suffered lots of facial impact and concusion damages. Had a Flip up full face (same brand) wore it all the time till it wore out and got too yucky to wear. Just got a Scorpion Brand Flip up. This one has a flip up sun visor built in. the only problem I have is that the latch release button was weak and broke (dealer replaced it but I worry about long term life). My wife and I enjoy dropping the face when it rains and lifting it when we are hot. The ability to use the intercom is a bonus too. What a way to ride.
If other people decide to ride with out, that is their choice Ride the way you like I just have too many headaches to not go full coverage any more.

Exactly. 1/2 helmet not too good if you actually crash. I crashed once and my chin bar had a big scrape. That would have been my face. Wear what ya want.
