I like how at sears you can bring in a 20 year old broken ratchet & the dude hands you a new one.

Did that last year. Took my 1/4 inch ratchet that skipped on it's teeth and they said go pick out another one. Great place for tools.

So do thousands of others......Only broke a couple in my lifetime, mostly tape measures, saved a bunch just on it.

I broke the head off my 1/2" drive 12" L Craftsman breaker bar. I took it to Sears but the bar was not in production any more, so they gave me a current model, swivel head, 18" Craftsman breaker bar.

Back when I was wrenchin for a living I would hit the swap meets and buy broken Craftsman sockets and wrenches for a few cents and take them to sears and get new ones. The guy asked me once how I kept breaking all my tools and I told him the truth about what I was doing. He just grinned and gave me my new socket.
