I heard that some Harleys will be painted black in '11, but I don't believe it.
I don't think so. Harley would never paint a bike black. Now on the other hand I did hear that the Softail Standard was coming back with a 103" hybrid motor.
+1 on the future of the V-Rod, or to be more precise, its motor. That engine is not going anywhere and if they did kill the V-Rod model that just means they accelerate its introduction into all the other models.

Regarding the V-rod's demise, maybe we can expect the V-Rod custom or beter yet the V-Tour Road Glide.
I have heard from reliable sources that say Wille G has restyled the Ultra Classic Electra Glide. It will have styling similar to the Victory Vision. The Vision like saddle bags and tour pack will be mounted on the front to make room for a new boat tail in the back.
The Rocker C will get a new handlebar mounted fold out passenger seat to improve passenger comfort.
Rather than waste time and money on true crankshafts, a solar powered gyroscope will be mounted to dampen vibration. The reason for solar power is simple... The engineers figure it will be a smoother more pleasant ride on sunny days, you will probably not enjoy riding as much on an overcast/rainy day so a smooth ride won't matter so much. As you would expect the solar powered gyroscope will be available in the parts and accessories catalog to retrofit all the 2 wheeled paint shakers with MoCo. acceptable crankshaft runout.
