I want to put the chrome controls on my bike. I think HD used to sell a complete kit but can't seem to find it. Do I just go to the dealer and tell then what I want and they put a kit together along with braided cables?

Is it important to stick with the HD brand of parts? Most everything I have put on my bike are the HD parts and they fit and perform well except for those crappy flush mount cap and gauges

No, most of the aftermarket stuff is just as good if not better...and over half the price.
I've been using this guy for my cables and lines. Top notch stuff

HD branded chit is cheaper on eBay... I like using all HD chit. I have the flush mount and have no problems with them, fuel gauge is very accurate

As soon as I save the money, my flush mounts are going in the trash. The cap has come apart. I think is was my fault from over filling. Although i would think the O rings should be able to stand for that and the LED's work when they feel like it.

Thanks for the link. I will check them out.

Not sure if I want to tackle this install myself though.
