No thanks. I'll stay in my birth country, where I have rights.

Really, as others, theres lots to see here that I haven't seen in good ole USA, before I'd leave the country.
+1, besides, my US rent is already paid up.

There are a lot of really good, friendly, humble people in Mexico. It's those 1% that worry me about going down anymore.

Well, no one can really tell, but it's that precise fear that makes people thing all Mexico is bad. There is a bad place anywhere, it really comes down to wrong place at the wrong time.

Let's get on thing straight, I'm not a travel expert, I'm just telling people (especially here in south Texas) Mexico isn’t as bad as most people say it is.

Any questions you wanna shoot at me I'll be more than happy to (try) to answer.

Again, thanks for the post and Happy New Years
You are correct, there are places here that are just as dangerous if you dare go there, which is why you will never see me in NYC, or LA. I have been to Juarez, and enjoyed the place a lot more than I would of most of the tourist traps in the USA.

Traveling in Mx has always had a bad rap...some warranted, but not all for the most part. There are parts of the US that I wouldn't travel too (or through) for the same reasons...so I guess the same goes for Mexico. Jus' need to figure out what part are those to stay away from.

I did a trip to Mexico from Ontario Canada, and one thing I do know, that trip is going to be hard to beat. It was the best every hands down!! Yes things have changed in parts and one must always ride careful no matter where. Heck, I hear from all kinds of stuff that scares me even in my neighbors back yard. If every time we heard unrest in this world we'd stay home, no one would have any adventures anymore.
That all said, when you do go, don't ride at night, alone or off the beaten path way in the boonies. I think a few common sense items can even now make Mexico a great trip. Check it out here if you like

Been to Mexico a lot over the past years. Heading down there again in a month. People are great, food is great and booze outstanding.

I've heard a lot of the drug crime is concentrated along the boarder (I know **** happens in the rest of the country also). Neither my wife nor myself have felt unsafe in the areas we have been in - during the day or night.

Flights are cheap this year and . . . they don't have any snow where we are going.

There's a fairly big annual November rally at Rocky Point that a lot of riders from AZ go to. I haven't been yet, but a good buddy of mine went this year for the first time, and loved it! Another buddy goes every year, and swears by it! No issues, no worries, no strain on the wallet! I'm definately going next year, if not sooner.
