Hey Gang,
Just taking my own little census here on what you all consider too cold to ride. I'm a fairly new rider and new to this forum whitch I think is AWESOME ! I've learned alot and gotten some good laughs following some of the disscusion that goes on here. Verry cool, glad I signed up. but anyway I live out in Washington State and it's about 34 degrees out there today. Still not sure if it's safe out there, could still be some black ice on road ways. But anyway I currently have my Scoot Winterized and covered up in the garage, Sure been chomping at the bit to taker her out for a spin though.....
Will post a photo soon. See Ya
I rode for about two hours yesterday in 34 degree weather. Had a blast. I am going to ride to reserves on Saturday. It's supposed to be 18 degrees when I leave the house. It's about a 45 minute ride. Want to see if I'm hard enough.
Bad to do such short rides in extreme cold. Condensation builds up in the cold weather inside your engine with the oil. You need to get it real hot to evaporate the water. If you are going to run it, you should go at least 10 miles.
haha thanx dude- my plan was to ride it for ahwhile but it was colder than I thought and i ended up wussing out, it was probably closer too 2 miles but your right-
I havent left the house so far this year .
A Tsunami had to happen while I was sleeping ,and washed Florida up to Sturgis some where !
Its mid day now and no , I dont live upstate on the Red Neck Riviera .
Its just So Wrong !
