Sometimes I really can't believe the garbage that gets discussed on this board. Did I make a mistake and sign up for the soap opera discussion group? What do you girls do when you're not discussing cliques and fashion statements? Seriously.
Yet you felt the need "to have to participate in the conversation!"
But to answer the OP's question - I still ride with the same small group that I did when I had my Wing. A mixture of metric and Harley cruisers/tourers. Only thing that changed is the direction of the jokes regarding my new ride....

1. Admiring myself in the mirror wearing Miz Roo's chaps.
2. Shopping for a helmet that matches my tank.
3. Worrying about the length of my leather handlebar fringe.
4. Gossip about how silly other riders look without vests.
5. Arguing the merits of black versus brown leather.
6. Adjusting the leds in the engine.
7. Making gang sign shadow puppets.
8. Painting "driving Hondas" in white on the bottom of stop signs.

I ride.
But since it is the middle of winter with 2 feet of snow on the ground I read this board and type on the computer. Not to worry dude, come summer I don't post here much.
I started street riding back in 1976 on a 1973 Norton 850 Commando and my best friend rode on a 750 Triumph. Ah! British Steel! In 1982, right after I bought my 1977 Harley XLCR Sportster, he bought a 1948 Harley Panhead ridged frame Chopper, so again we were both on similar Marquee motorcycles. He now has a 2000 FXDX Sport and I am, happily, still on Sportsters. We have had many riding friends (on Harleys) who have been relocated for job reasons and other riding friends that have stopped riding for family reasons and some for health reasons but I have been blessed to have had my best friend as my riding partner for quite some time now. I couldnt ask for anything more.

All I have to say is that I have a lot more friends since I started riding a Harley. Some I ride with, some I just talk with, some I do business with and with some I do all three. It's a great network...
This is my first HD, and I still ride with all the guys that I did prior to buying (the wife rides a V Star). I respect anyone who is brave enough to get on two wheels, they are more than welcome to ride with us. The only thing that changes who we will ride with depends on how they drive, if they are dangerous then....I don't want to practice my life saving skills.
