The problem is the stock narrow band O2 sensors in the pipes. There is also a tendancy for the stock EFI controller to "drift" or correct toward factory setting, regardless of remapping, due to software related events. The SERT is another story, but requires a dyno session or two to get it close. I have found most of thefolks at Heritage tobe not as well informed as I would expect from such a big dealership, and not as aware of current developments as most informed enthusiasts are. Having said that, so far it is my dealer of choice.
Let me add an update: took my FXSTSSE infor the battery tray/cable rail safety recall and they could not get it started afterwards.I saw them at least once pull off the positive first (not the negative), and not pull fusesbefore doing so. I guess they didn't learn about transients in computer circuits. Plus, they killed the battery, fouled the plugs and O2 sensors, and possibly damaged or jammed both the throttle position sensor and blade. It has a Thundermax auto tune module (can't say enough good things about that incredible device!) and as is typical and expected from a dealer,they had no knowledge of it, nor desire to fix what they broke because of it. Now, IRODE it in for a plastic tray to be installed under the battery and I had to WALK and hitch home to get my trailer to haul it out of their shop. These guys are off of my Christmas Card list.
