From what I can recall, the custom color bikes are not introduced until much later (after March), but I was wondering if anybody has heard what color choices will be offered. Typically there are 3 custom colors and each is offered at different times throughout the year. They are very limited in production like the '06 Dragonfly Green, for example. According to my dealer, one color option is a two tone blue called Jake and Elwood. Blues Brothers......get it? Anybody who has information...or better yet, pictures would be greatly appreciated!
I noticed that the custom colors weren't shown on the site, but when you check out the specifications for each bike they are listed in the paint choices. There is also an interesting Dark Green/Light green option among others it seems. Would sure love to see some samples of the custom two-tone options before ordering my '07 heritage softail classic.
Thanks. I missed that. Here's what I copied from the HD website. two-tone burgundy/crème and gold pearl (new) (custom color), two-tone dark green envy pearl and light green envy pearl (new) (custom color) two-tone Jake blue sunglo and Elwood blue sunglo (new) (custom color) The two-tone burgundy/creme and gold pearl sounds interesting. But then again, you never really know until you see them in person. The custom colors for 06 were pretty wild which is why I opted to wait to replace my '03. Ultra. Hopefully this year will be better. Congratulations on your new ride. 96" and 6 gears to go.....that's something to look forward to.
Would love to see the two-tone burgundy/creme and gold pearl too. I'm wondering if they will come out in the order that they are listed. Right now, I am getting quotes on the Suede Blue Pearl and Vivid Black which I think would have a great vintage look with white walls added. I just feel like I should wait and see the new custom colors before taking the plunge.
Agreed. That's why I'm holding off until I've had a chance to see the actual colors. They usually release each of the custom colors between a 3-4 month period of time, but never more than one custom color at a time. eg.....Jan - March = blue, then April - Jun = green...etc. They should be nice colors form what I read.
So I saw the color chart today at my dealer, including the custom colors. They all look realy sharp. In fact all of the colors for '07 look much better in person than what you see on the web. I was fairly impressed with all the colors, even the olive green and black. It looks much better in person. So now the diliema....which to buy?
