Default Newbie...

Hi everyone new to the forum and Harleys as well i need some help.... thinking of buying an after market exhaust V&H or trouble makers I own a 2003 night train Fuel injection...now do I have to buy special pipes because it's fuel injected or can I buy regular ones...???

If you buy online, just make sure the pipes fit the make an year model of your buke. There are lots of choices out there. Enjoy your search for the "right" pipes and welcome to the forum.

Pipes are Pipes as long as you get the ones for your engine and bike, they dont make differnt ones for carb vs FI bikes
but depending on your pipe you may need to get a fuel managment re-map downloaded

Thanks 883 so If I buy say the troublemakers which I see on ebay for cheap I can just re & re what happens with the o2 sensor??? Do they make specific pipes that the o2 sensor fits into.. This is whats buggin me.

you can either have an O2 sensor bung installed at a loca lexhuast shop, or get a dummy sensor thingy that negates the need of havign an o2 sensor installed

'03 doesn't have the sensors.

+1.......you don't have to worry about the O2 sensors, since your bike doesn't have the closed loop system that the newer Harleys have.

That's what I thought...I looked at the pipes and saw no wires or O2 sensors I thought they had them being a FI...Told you I was a newbie...LOL...So I'm O.K. going with just the regular pipes then...
