The 07's are on the showroom floors in most dealers around the country, in fact there are a few people on this board who already have taken delivery of the 07's. This dealer is jerking your chain to get rid of his 06 inventory.
Last saturday my local harley shop here in Davenport was unwrapping brand new 07's out in the lot for all to see..of course they want to sell all the 06s that they can, and there are deals out there to be had, but if you truley want a new 07, they are out there to be had..any dealer that lies to you, well I would be looking for a new dealer.[sm=biker.gif]
Mine has them in creates in the back and has since last week. It's a timing issue i think for each dealer. If they have a floor full of 06's they want to cut that stock down before they roll out the 07's. I hate to say it but trusting a vehicle salesman is not a good idea. Car salesman (and bike) didn't get their negative reputations by accident. They always know more than they're givingup and are their to make money off of you.
You are being jerked around. There are changes between the 06's and 07's and the 07's are already out in some areas. Get what you want, not what the dealer tells you to get, you'll be much happier that way. Good luck
I was at the dealer here in Memphis last eveing. While talking to the service manager I looked into the service bay and saw the kid that they have as a "gopher" washing and detailing the new 07's they got in this week. They are going to be doing a big unveiling at the dealer this Sat at noon.

He told me that no dealer would have any for at least a month longer. He also told me that they would be one of the first to get them because they were one of the largest dealers in the country.

We have a small Harley dealership in Omaha (Harley-Davidson of Omaha) that has several 2007 models on the floor already. http://www.harley-davidsonofomaha.com/
Sometimes the people at the dealers are clueless, sometimes they are trying to pull the wool over your eyes so they can unload what's on the floor. The first could be an honest mistake, but the latter is kinda sneaky and I would never trust that salesperson or dealership again.

When I replied earlier, I forgot to say something. I feel that most of the people here like to talk about Harleys and also like to go to their nearest dealership and buy clothes or look at the latest that HD has to offer. They are passing on what they have seen and also want to help each other to find the Harley that might be best for them. Not all salesman are like this, but I feel that some salesmen are out to make a sale or to unload something just to make room for something that is coming in. They want that comission that they get from the sale of a bike. The only thing that we have to gain is the satisfaction of helping somebody get a smile on their faces from getting a new Harley. The salesman might be looking at it from a monetary aspect. I will let you decide, which group of people do you think would have your best interests at heart? Good luck
