Only one real close friend that I know is a very safe and cautious rider. He has ridden bikes for years and was very helpful with advice and tips for riding when I started riding again 2 years ago after 30 years on 4 wheels only.

Sure! I recently bought (read stole) an '01 Fatboy from a person who was having financial difficulty. He was filing bankruptcy so it didnt matter what he got for his bike.

I didn't need it; I have my Ultra to ride. My bro on the other hand currently doesn't have a bike and his finances prohibit him from getting one soon. Sooo, I titled the Fatboy and put insurance on it with him as primary driver. And now he has a ride and will pay me back whenever the economy turns around in his business.

BTW, hell no, no one rides my ultra but me. :-)

My son, nephew, and my brother. None of them has ever asked to, but they would be welcome to.

I have only two very close friends who are riders and who I would let ride my bike, but that's it. It's not an ego thing - it's an "I don't want my damn bike wrecked" thing!

I won't even let my close friends ride my bike! That is because even a close friend can become your worst enemy if something happens. I value my friends too much to risk losing them.

Only if you allow it. I never put a monetary value on a close friend. I've got insurance and yes they will cover my bike as long as they have the endorsement. If I have to pay the deductible, so be it. If it's totalled, I get a new one.

Pretty damn simple....

I dont let nobody ride my bike/bikes except one person, even if they can afford to replace things, nothing says they will. the only one i would allow to ride my bike, and who i have offered to let ride but declined was my Ol man. I would let my ol man ride it anytime he wanted, and if he wrecked it, the only thing i would worry about is my ol man..nuff said.
