Default removing Cruise control switch

I am removing my inner fairing on my 06 Road Glide to have it painted, and the last piece that I have to remove is the piece that my cruise switch and aux speaker switch is in. I am having a hard time getting the switches out. Does anyone have any sugestions. I am trying not to break them, but they are not budging. I am hoping there is a trick to it.

If its anything like my Ultra, those switches are mounted from beneath with screws. I had one coupler to disconect, then pulled out the piece they mount to and removed them on the bench.

Not sure with the road Glide...But If you have the manual, it should help you..

This is another reason to make sure you have the Parts book for your bike. It shows each and every part as well as how they mount (screws etc..)

Thanks for the info. I managed to get them out, they have them held there by a pressure spring that is a B@#$%d to get out. Off to the paint shop we go.
Cheers
