I always get the urge to wave while I'm in my truck, but I restrain myself. If I make eye contact, they get the nod. Also give the nod if I'm in a bad spot on my bike and can't wave.

Hey Mark,

That's a seriously sweet Train you got there. Love that paint job.

Thanks bud. I was going to paint it myself but when we do a set of tins, it usually takes me 2-3 weeks depending on how busy we are. I wanted to ride so bad, I bought them as a numbered set (3 of 200)

Funny part is now I'm getting ready to install the 240 kit so I'm in the process of painting the rear fender and I really like the cowcatcher front fenders. Pretty soon, all I'll have paid almost 3k for was a tank.

I'll probably sell the complete set and make up my own tank if I do the front fender. I'll number it 201/200

Anyway, thanks, I love the color and style of flames, just should have probably done it all myself.

Mark

I would wave, but my window tint is so dark no one would know the difference.

I even waved from my skateboad this morning and got 3 waves back. 1 from each rider.

Nope, don't wave from the cage at all.
When you raise or extend your hand from a car in Dallas for some reason it causes everyone to duck and cover.
I have caught myself playing run-blocker for bikes though.

I wave to HD riders...in fact I just did it today while meeting one rider at the road.

I'm having to cut back as my hand is getting sore from whacking the glass in the van.

ORIGINAL: orangecrush

I was thinking after reading a post about a member mowing his lawn and how he pauses when he hears a Harley. What about waving while in your cage?

I've been riding sportbikes for over 20 years. I have always waved at bikes regardless of brand, to me, it's a bond between people that enjoy riding but I honestly don't think I have ever waved to another sportbike rider while in my cage....that was until I bought my Nightrain, I never found myself waving to other Harleys while in my truck.

The wierd part is, they'll usually wave or give me a nod of the head. I've even gone so far as to put a small HD decal in the upper corner of my windshield just so they know I'm a rider too.

Is that wierd?

Your kidding, right??
