I started out on a 1974 Honda CB750, and then moved on to a 1984 920 Yamaha Virago. I really liked the Virago, but when I rode it from Chicago to Winston-Salem, NC, to visit my folks the neighbor across the street from them was selling a 1985 Honda GL1100 Gold Wing. I bought the Wing, and got used to the big "bagger" type of bike; and my wife learned how to ride the Virago. We drove to NC on the bikes, but she was not really comfortable on it as it was a bit to tall for her, so she didn't stick with it and we sold it pretty soon afterwards. I decided in 1999 to go back to a crusier type and bought a Honda Shadow Aero 1100. The Aero looked great, but I was never really happy with the performance of it and missed my tourer. I sold the Aero, and went without a bike for about 3.5 years, till I got bit by the bug again and picked up a 2001 Honda ACE Deluxe 750 from a friend of mine in 2008. After a month, I was into full blown bike fever, but the 750 was just to small for me; so I decided that I would get the "crossing" of the v-twin and the touring bike; so I picked up the 1999 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic I have now. I did a little engine work, and really enjoyed turning the wrenches again not to mention the results. My wife started riding the 750, and really took to it, so we added a 1988 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail to the stable.

My buddys whole family has Harley roots that run deep, we grew apart for a few years and reconnected around the time my father past this past July. He had in that time gotten an 09 Denim Street Bob, gotten his girl a 1989 "custom" Suzuki 750 Intruder. I say custom because the rear fender, seat, tire, shock/springs had been replaced with all HD stuff. Didn't even look like a metric anymore. I rode it and was bitten hadn't ridden anything but a crotch rocket since I was 16. I'm now 32. So i did some searching and found a decent 89 Intruder of my own. Putted around on it for awhile and fell in love, really helps me with freeing my mind about losing my Dad to cancer. We did a ride before the weather got bad few weeks back and she had just traded for a sweet Sportster Custom and we did about a nice 100 mile ride round trip. Trying to play catch up and just overall my size compared to my Intruder (6'4 290). I started looking at used Harleys. Found my baby thats below in my sig at Hannum's Chadds Ford location and CANNOT FRIGGIN WAIT TO GET SOME CLEAR ROADS!!!
