If they use S and S motors like they did last time...won't they sound like a Harley, being that S&S uses Evolution style engines?

Indian's did have a proprietary engine that was used for the Chief, the 100" Powerplus, and had the left side carb as did classic Indians. The Scout and the Spirit got S&S motors, which are great motors as well.

They will have a harder time trying to find dealers willing to bet on them.

I hope they make it. The old Indians are awesome. Hope they don't change the style too much.

I'd love to have one. A friend of mine rides an Indian. I took it for a nice ride once and I love that machine. It has as much soul as a Harley

I looked at Indians too a few years back, It seemed like I could get more from a Scout (Chrome and engine wise) than a H-D softail for the price. I hope they make it, good to have more jobs available anyway.

Its always a good thing to supply jobs in the US with so many going overseas because of cheap labor. But I cant imagine Indian being much of a player in the next 10 years. They could suceed as a niche player, but to get to the size of H-D, it is going to be quite a challenge, H-D makes near 350,000 units a year. Victory makes about 5,000. Big Dog is about the same as VIctory. H-D is still seeing approx 9% increase in production each year, and they are doing a pretty good job all around. It takes a lot more than a brand name to suceed.

With Excelsior-Henderson and the former Indian raising large sums of cash, and still falling flat on their faces, I see the new Indian being a small niche player at best.

I think that Stellican Group is very serious in putting the company on the right track....

Although I've never seen neither an Indian nor an Excelsior Henderson I would be a healthy competition on the market if both could be back.

I do hope that Indian Motorcycle Company deliver an excellent product and have success.
