You can't expect them to pay a large group of employees to speed up the orders, then give you the big discount. It just don't work that way.

oh, my bad.... I read your post incorrect. I thought you were ordering from HD. I've ordered several times from Chicago HD, and have always had great service from them. usually in just a couple of days - except once when the itemwas on back-order, but they shot me an email saying that. who did you order from?
On one order, I called 3 different times and the same guy told me he would ship it that day. Call back 3 days later and he had still not shipped them.
Way to much competition to stay with a vendor that has let you down.

I used Chicago HD for a while until I realized that they only process their orders for FPO AP mail boxes once a week.
On one order, I called 3 different times and the same guy told me he would ship it that day. Call back 3 days later and he had still not shipped them.
Way to much competition to stay with a vendor that has let you down.

These stores have huge overhead and can't justify selling parts on the cheap, without minimizing the costs involved. I've dealt with Chic HD several times. I've called to check on stuff and was always treated well and got my answers. They even handled a return for me for a wrong size windshield (my error).
If you want fast, go to the counter and pay full price!
If you want the discount, accept what goes with it.
I do my online discount orders during winter when I am not in a hurry.
I'll do it in the summer too, if it ain't a part that keeps me from riding.

That's the nature of the beast ordering off HD online sellers. You get the stuff for 20% less but they don't stock very much so they have to order it and it takes longer. No biggie to me, I just know this going in. If I ever need something within a few days, I don't order online.

It wasn't that long ago that online HD discounts were not an option.
I saved a fortune building my motor. Lots of parts at a nice discount.

I've ordered from Zanotti's several times. They always let me know if the parts are in stock and when they will be shipped. I ordered something yesterday, it was in stock, and it will be shipped on Monday. Heck, I ordered a microwave from Sears online, it took 3 weeks. I didn't care, I got what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay.

Fox Creek is not HD. Fox Creek is more set up for mail order and have the volume to pay for the inventory. Apples and Oranges.
