Default Online Orders

I wondered if anyone else is disappointed with the lack of speed that orders are shipped from HD online. I have made many purchases on the web that have been shipped the same day of the order and have arrived within the next two days. I ordered a pair of battery heated gloves(Blazewear) on New Years eve. They were delivered USPS on the day after New Years.

The example I gave was not from HD. I used it as an example of prompt service. I ordered a set of HD battery heated gloves a week ago and have not received a shipping notice yet.

oh, my bad.... I read your post incorrect. I thought you were ordering from HD. I've ordered several times from Chicago HD, and have always had great service from them. usually in just a couple of days - except once when the itemwas on back-order, but they shot me an email saying that. who did you order from?

Don't know I never order direct from Harley...too expensive. I have had quick shipping from St Paul Harley when ordering off ebay. Some places don't send out notices, but I would say a week isn't too long considering thats about 5 business days. Send out and email or call to see if it's been shipped

Not just HD. I ordered a pair of boots from JCP online 12/28/09 they arrived 2/4/10 and they did not fit. Cost me $8.00 to ship them back for credit.

rarely do I order from anybody,, been yrs,, last year I did use Dennis Kirk twice. happy with them, Order one day, both times two days later there at the front door...

I asked if item is in stock, if not, don't think I'd order...
As far as 7-8 days on delivery, yea, thats a little long, but it even takes 4-6 days for mail to go across the Country some times..

Aviator,

I ordered from HD direct on the internet, but I had to designate a dealer which is F & S in Dayton Ohio. I also ordered a speedo/tach and fuel guage from F & S almost two weeks ago and I have heard nothing. Part of the problem I beleive is that HD is the middle man for the other companies who supply or manufacture the merchandise. The speedo/tach odometer has to be programmed which also could be a reason for delay.

We have been ordering bike parts over the internet for a few years now. If I order through ebay with HD dealers, it usually arrives w/in a couple of weeks but the $ I save is well worth the wait. I only ordered through local dealership one time and learned lesson real fast. 1 month is too long. I always ask if item is in stock. Lots of places take orders before they even ahve the parts available.
