I wear a CMA back patch. That is to let you know I'm here if you need me.
I wear an american flag to show who I am.
I wear a PGR patch to show where I stand.
If I'm a dork well then I'm a dork who will stand beside you when you need me, or with you when you need it and lift you up when you can't stand on your own.
I make no excuses for what I say or do. If you don't like my patches so be it. Most of the patches people wear have a story and meaning. Those stories all mean something to the people wearing them and I will never belittle someone elses life or stories. Most of time I learn from them.
Hmm.........I wear Harley t-shirts and have for years, I have a vest I wear for functions like HOG events or ABATE events and I wear a bandana when I take off the manadatory helmet I have to wear here because I have fair skin and thinning hair. Yep, I must be dork. And if ya don't like it, then kiss me where the good Lord split me.
Sorry, I was reading this and that popped into my head so I had to say it.
I don't wear them but I don't judge others who do. Wear what you want, including fingerless gloves (LOL), I don't care. If you are on two wheels and the motor is actually running, you're okay by me.
Sure, I got patches on both of my vests. Not the cool lookin things that ya can buy at the CrackerBarrel restaurant, but patches or pins that represent significantevents that I rode with other people in, I.E. small PGR patch, Rolling Thunder pin, Rattle the Runway pin, a Marine Corps emblem, a patch of the 5th MARDIV because so few Marines were assigned to it andthe American Flag.
Seems kinda funny though, some folks who see other people doin stuff in their life that isn't identical to theirs, are dorks? I have no idea what ya do in life, but when ya lump everybody together like that with some kind of condescending name, I'm certainly not interested in bein like you.
First of all I dont wear patches just a plain leather jacket. In response to the dork comments....if you look up the meaning you will see: Dork - is a term used to describe someone who has odd interests, and is often silly at times. A dork is also someone who can be themselves and not care what anyone thinks.
I would like to watch (as I sit at the bar downing a cold beer) someone walk up to a group of guys wearing new vests full of patches and call them dorks......
