No patches for me, and more power to those who like them. Anyhow, being as model trains are one of my hobbies (and that alone MAY make me a bit of a dork), y'all ain't seen NOTHING as dorky (finally got to use that word ) like the "vesties" wandering around at train shows. Usually bright red or yellow (yes, YELLOW!!!) and covered with pins and patches. Scary.
No vest, no patches, never will. If I wanted to look like a dork I'd become a Shriner.
The only dorks I know are people that make broad brush generalizations about people they know nothing about.
Reminds me of my next door neighbor when I asked him why he had such a problem with my Harley. He said "most every guy I know that owns a Harley doesn't have more than a 5th grade education".
I like patches. No HD or HOG patches for me though. Mine are pretty much all PGR/pro-America related. My favorite is shown below, except the background is black.
Nothing on my jacket but I do have a vest with patches and pins to remind me of some good rides I have had. The biggest patch is the round one like in my signature. If anyone doesn't like the way I dress they have two options. One, not look and two, FO. =) Lowryder
