Its kind of a strange question. I mean its kind of obvious, but whats comfortable for one guy will drive someone else apeshit. My brother has a bike with a different setup than mine and when I drove it home from the movies for him so he could drive his wifes car home. I was shot after the 5 mile ride. He rode mine once and felt the same way about mine.

Like it's been said before, it's an individual thing. I personally don't like them, I prefer drags. My buddy loves them. Last August he rode his Superglide with high apes from LA to here (Albuquerque) in one day; 790 miles. The next day we both rode from here to Sturgis in one day, 830 miles. It was no problem for either of us, but neither of us would have made it on the others bike.

I have 16's on the Street Bob, which makes em just above shoulder height. Rode to Colorado and back and it was very comfortable.

Apes are great(at least for me) for bikers that have lower back problems. Before my surgery riding with apes was the only non-medicated releif I would get.

This is a awsome question because I think they look good but I always wondered about the comfort. I'm thinking about getting a set but just aint sure I wish I had a buddy that has them so I could check them out
