Happened to be in town so I pulled into my dealer (HD of Prince George)today. Couldn't believe all the vehicles in the parking lot. Figured there must be a sale on at the Future Shop across the way.
Headed up to the front door and there's this couple coming out with their arms full of boxes and bags.
Hmmm... held the door for them and noticed the sign "50% off all instore merchandise (except bikes)"
Went in and the place is PACKED. It was nuts... Turns out that the sale has been running for a week and all the good stuff is gone (heated gear, high-end parts, tires). But I did grab a couple JHC modular helmets and a SE Ventilator A/C. Cost me over CDN$1100 before I finally escaped. Asked one of the girls what was going on. She said they are just clearing out old inventory (ALL of it, I guess) and they are NOT closing down.
Last summer I stopped in at a dealer who was having a similar sale. I didn't know about it and all the good stuff was gone. Got the same reply that they were just clearing out some inventory. They closed their doors not long after and they're still closed.
