Growing up in northern MN with its wonderful weather we had a few car clubs, as follows:
1} The 'ditch' club
Now the ditch club you had to re-join every season, If you went a whole winter witout going into the ditch, you were no longer a member.
2} The 'deer' club
Also a seasonal re-join was neccesarry. Cows and horses were acceptable also. We had one member who also got a moose. We turned down the guy who tried to get in after hitting a fox though. We had our standards.
3} The 'roll' club
Just going onto your side didnt count. You had to at least land on your roof. Once you joined the roll club you were a member for life. I am proud to say my brother, myself, and all 5 of my cousins have that distinguished honor.
It seems though once you lay down your bike, wheather its on the freeway doin 70, or in your driveway, youre a member for life. Seem like we should make a distinction. By the way I'm covered either way.
Glad you were not hurt and the bike was not damaged. I"ll bet that leg that slipped out from under you got a bit sore the day after that little dance!!
I have never dumped my Harley, yet anyway, but did dump my BMW and Honda 500 back in the late 1970's. Both times in the front yard in front of my neighbors who laughed their butts off!

Nah, the leg's in tip top shape. Ego's still a little bruised but I figure what the hell...
Glad your all right and the phone survived too.
TXSwede - by those rules I have made the roll club, but have yet to drop my ride. Not a matter of if, but when.
I just keep reminding myself - Self, Shiny side up!!
