I will split lanes when traffic is at a standstill, or stop and go. People rubberneck at breakdowns, accidents, construction, or whatever. Maybe 15 - 20 mph between cars and trucks, until I see a place that looks too narrow to safely ride thru. Then I blend into a lane until I can move again.

Most Harley riders in central Cali dont go more than 15 over and thats only when trafic is realy backed up. Its those peski organ donors that fly by doing a wheelie down the dotted line. If I had a door I would open it too. The problem is I never see them comming then I almost **** myself.
