I went down to my local Harley shop to get a set of LEDs and a load equalizer for my rear bullet turn signals. I have the run/stop/turn unit already installed. The shop wanted 82.00 PER LED and 69.00 for the equalizer. Now I do not want to sound, cheap, but I thought that was a little crazy to spend to have lights, which last a long time and are a little brighter. So, I got smoked lenses and clear bulbs instead.
Buy a set of red lenses and red bulbs.
That's what I've ran in all the hd's I've had with the run/stop setup. Leds aren't near as bright as what I run, and the whole point of the run/stop is to be seen
i went with the smoked lenses and the white clear bulbs. im pretty sure those will be the brightest, other than LEDs. i just can justify spending nearly 200 bucks for brighter bulbs overall. i know i should have red on the back, but ill go with the smoke for now, until i get stopped. the smoked looks better
Another thought, if you use an electronic flasher and do not use equalizers it opens up a little more capacity to the charging system for other goodies.
