most of what he's saying makes sense. I used to do use the 3 blink system at times. There is no reason for somebody on the interstate to be driving beside a semi. Either pass or slow down. Don't sit there.
The tailgating one isn't too smart because of stopping distance needed obviously but i'll admit i've done it if there's somebody driving in the fast lane at 50 mph.

2005CLASSIC you're an idiot. Anyone who talks about throwing bricks off of overpasses as revenge for being cut off is ignorant. There's no way to sugarcoat that one.

It used to be that bikers and truck drivers were mostly the same people. Blue collar guys who loved to be out on the open road. Now 90% of bikers have never seen the inside of a semi much less have a clue of what it takes to drive one.

As a past long distance car hauler for about 15 years the only thing I might add to Bubbas post is that if I see you driving like an idiot and you wreck you can burn before I will stop to help you, unless I see kids in the car. And if you are an idiot and cause a wreck you can be sure I will be in court to testify exactly just how YOU caused the accident and trying to pressure the prosecutor into filing 2nd degree murder charges against you or at least 1st degree manslaughter...
Hauling cars is always bad because some just want to ride along side to look at the cars. Quite a few of which found themselves in the median when they wanted to play games...

sometimes traffic may not allow a person to speed up or slow down without putting themselves in more danger . If you try to use this "three blink rule " around me , putting my family in danger , please don't take it wrong when I drag you out of the cab.
You drive for a living , supposed to be a pro , why would a pro brag about trying to push people around just because they are bigger (well , their vehicle anyway) ??

Geez I just hope you don't drive through my state. I guess advertising you are bad driver makes you proud.

6. In the city...the rule is if I miss your vehicle by an inch it may as well be a mile. Usually when I am turning a corner. A miss is a miss. I know exactly how much room I have to make the turn. Went to make a delivery one day and turned into a lot. Missed a ladys vehicle by an inch and she actually came up to me and asked if I know how close I came to her vehicle. I told her yep..thats why I didnt run into you.
This is BS. I have a sharp turn going through my one horse town and I see truckers all the time running up over the curb and getting stuck after making a left hand turn.

I stay off the interstate to avoid truck drivers like you. Not so bad in my state but in other state a lot of truckers are pretty ignorant about how to drive. You have a vehilce that could kill quite easily you need to drive considerately and tail gaiting an auto is pretty dangerous and you could end up killing someone.

please explain to me what traffic situation would not allow you to slow down to let someone in?

Law of gross tonnage, you are bigger you win. I however do slow down and let a truck over when traffic is bad. Why not we are all going the same direction, if people would have a little more give and take (more give, less take), traffic would flow better.

just off the top of my head , a car in my lane just ahead of the tractor , why should I tailgate him ?? I am in my lane and have every right to stay there. How about a car on my butt , take a chance being hit in the rear if I slow down.
Don't get me wrong , I don't like to hang out next to a truck , it creeps me out, but taking someones life just because you wanted their lane sucks, you have no legal or moral right to do this. OK , so you don't hit them , you just move over a bit to "push"them out , what if they panic seeing your rig move over ,and hit someone else trying to get out of the way thinking you were coming all the way ?? Is this really worth it ??

True story and why this hit a nerve, I have no reason to lie , chances are I'll never meet any of you.
I74 west bound going into Peoria IL a 16 year old female and her mother were runover by the rear tandems of a rig and killed .They were in the outside (passing) lane . Think he was using this "3 blink " rule ?? I have never heard of it before.

This was my mom and sister

Sorry to hear about your family but, I think what is trying to be made understood is dont get in the passing lane and run the same speed as the vehicle next to you. Be it a semi, car, pickup, bike what ever. Make your pass and get back into the right hand lane so as not to hold up the faster traffic around you. Most divided highways have signs stating, SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT!!

I wish the same rules were applied to two semis - it drives me nuts when one semi starts to pass another, usually just as they start up an incline, and the two end up running side-by-side at a whopping 44 mph in a 65 zone, stacking up traffic behind. I can't prove it, but sometimes I think if I could see in the cab, the trucker would have a smile on his face at putting everybody abother 10-15 minutes behind schedule.... [sm=GrowUp.gif]
