I bought the nuvi 780 for $200 and it has all the bells and whistles.....bluetooth, way points, MP3, etc., which means I can buy 2 more in years to come (with newer features) instead of buying a Zumo for $600.
I think someone my have posted this already, but this site has custom points of interest. I downloaded the Harley Dealers in Canada, USA, and Mexico here.
I haven't loaded them into the Nuvi 255 yet, but the instructions @ Garmin's site seem straightforward. You do need to download the software from Garmin to install the custom points of interest.
I've been using a Garmin Nuvi 760 for about a year and a half. I switch between my car and my two bikes regularly. I have a RAM mount for the bikes and a power cord connected to the battery via the GPS power cord on each bike. With about 10,000 miles on the GPS, no problems (cars have vibrations too). I've used with rain coming down, but never parked it in the rain. You can get a new 760 on ebay for about $175. Extra power cords are less than $5. The $400-500 dollars I save buys alot of beer!

I like that thought.... And it sounds like you're still getting a full featured GPS in the process, which interests me.
I've had my nuvi 780 for a year and a half now, and very happy with it.
I wanted one for my Fatboy that didn't look big and bulky so that I can keep the "clean" look of my Fatboy.

Again, you can get a brand new Droid for $49.99 that has all those features mentioned and you can also mount it on the bike and the car.
$49.99 for a Droid if you're not already a Verizon customer and ............ and............ and ............
It sells for $199.99 to the public which is the price you should compare it to GPS devices.
FYI I have a Palm Treo with a GPS program (TomTom) and it's a piece of sh*t. Don't even think of using your GPS in your car and receive a phone call at the same time. The GPS will turn off and you might also lose your call. Happened to me all the time. Not fun when you're in a big city and you have no clue where to go. By the time your call ends and you restart your GPS application, you're 2 miles past where you were supposed to turn.

I have a Droid & a Zumo 550. No way the Droid can compare -- not waterproof, smaller screen, not vibration resistant, less secure mount, can't operate it with gloves, and other differences too numerous to mention.
Dont' get me wrong -- I love my Droid, and it saves me from having to carry a separate GPS when in the car, but it is not nearly as convenient. The Google Map program is also still in Beta test, so it might eventually improve, but it will never equal a dedicated unit such as the Garmin.
