Anyone ever get scammed or try to to get scammed over in the classified section by a guy with the numbers 1127 in his user name? Don't want to break any forum rules or I'd just give the full name. This guy sounds full of chit as a Christmas turkey to me. Anyone dealt with this guy?
No, but there is this dude with the numbers 1931 in his name that sets off all the alarms! Lol, just kidding man. I guess you are in the mood to whip some azz right now huh?
For starters he told me Jay Leno personally called him to buy one of his bikes and Leno has his cell number programmed in his phone so Leno knows it's him if he calls. Secondly he's got a 2010 ultra limited listed for sale with one mile on it in that section. His reason for selling it is "he's got too many toys". Thirdly he had me give him a specific time that I would have a shipping quote ready for him on a carb he wanted to buy from me. Fourthly I gave him that shipping quote after making a trip to the post office for the quote and had it to him b4 I said I would and he won't reply now, which is no big deal. I just wondered about if anyone had dealt with him.
Had nothing but good experiences. Shipped a guy a set of pipes and told him to wait a month or two and then pay me. Never had a problem from anyone I've ever dealt with on eBay, CL, here or anywhere else on the Internet. You just have to be careful and scope things out and make sure they know where you stand. Most people are honest.
i have had nothing but good dealings with people on here and i hope all those that have bought items from me feel the same. That being said i saw the post on the bike your talking about and wether its true or not don't know. There are alot of scammers on the net and there is no way i would buy a bike or car or anything that high in cash with out being there to see it and the title and the person. As for small items and people on this site that rip people off they do not last long as they will get called out by the person that got taken wether its a $20 part or $24,000 bike. Just use your best judgement and talk to others on here many have been around on this site a long time and can tell you if someone is ok to deal with or shaddy.
i have even told guys that if they find something in my area and want me to check it out for them i would to see if its on the up and up.
I hope for sure that you dont get taken for a ride man. That **** would suck! Oh, and dont mind me, I am just drinkin a few brews and trying to have a little fun!
