Disconnect the battery. No need to pull the tank. You will need ti splice. I recommend getting enough length of each wire to be pulled for each side, tape the ends together in a point with electrical tape and lube the inside of the bars well with dish soap before pulling the wires thorugh. You can trim as needed and splice once they're pulled through. Take your time and double check your soldering. Wiggle the connections with an ohmmeter to ensure a cold solder joint doesn't vibrate loose.
We did my buddies fatboy a month or so ago. Couple of tips. We pulled the tank up so we could unplug the wiring harness's. We then pulled the pins out of each plug so we could run the wires. I took high detailed photos of each plug prior to removing the pins! It allowed us to reassemble the plugs later exactly the same as they came apart perfectly. Secondly to feed the wires through the bars you'll need a line to pull the wires through. You can use a shop vac to suck a line through first, tie it off, tie the other end if the line to the wires and use it to pull the wires through. Just some thoughts for ya!
i don,t know what to do cant even find were the wires go back all the way through frame to battery, and not sure were i can splice,at cnat by swith housing caiuse there is just enough wire and don,t want to do it by frame cause thats were the tension would be when turning this S$%&S

Did my buddies 02 Deuce the same way. Not too bad if you take your time. I made my own wiring diagrams.
if your dyna has stock bars on it, the wires go into the frame at the strg head. the connectors are up inside the frame, along with the connector for the headlamp and turn signals
