Just return the windshield and ask for one without the sticker on it. Gives you an excuse to ride.

For the windshield you can check with your local Inspection Sticker Service company. Cadilac use to have a plastic coating on the inside of their windshields and had to have a plastic razor blade to remove the old inspection sticker without damage to the plastic coated inside. It hasn't been that long back for the Caddys and should still be able to find the razor blades easy.

Default sticker removal

I use nail polish remover. Doesn't hurt the chrome or paint but I would check a spot on the windshield first though.

Goo Gone works well. Just apply it to the label and give it a minute to soak in. Then use your fingernail and work the edges. It may take a while as the label will come off in pieces.
You can find Goo Gone at Target and WalMart/

Don't over think it...warm up the sticker with a hairdryer and peel off the sticker and remove the glue with WD-40...dissolve the glue and don't rush it

Any other method or chemical used you run the risk of fokking up the finish...trust me
