Looking to get a better seat for my 09 ultra ? ANY IDEAS !!! HARLEY/ MUSTANG ???? My skinney as- is sore after a couple of hours
I had a Mean City Double Decker job done on my '10 Ultra seat. Lowered and narrowed the nose, firm foam on the bottom and softer foam on top. It was a lot better with feet-down since the narrower nose no longer spreads your thighs out making the bike feel taller. The comfort factor also improved.
In case you missed that thread, H-D came out with a mid-year seat reflog in January. It sits lower with a narrower nose and feels much like the MCC mod. The foam feels a bit cushier. I've only put 100 miles on mine and like it. Only time will tell how it conforms and what it's gonna feel like after a 6 - 700 mile day.
Part # 52164-10 available at dealers for $154 until the price goes up in April. Chicago H-D is selling it for $123 plus shipping, Zanotti's is getting $130+.
I road on a couple of Mustang Touring seats in Daytona last week. Both were super-comfy. They list for $449 and a dealer is selling 'em on eBay for $339 including shipping.
