This is like the 4th story I've read on here about vehicles slamming into the back of bikes. I've been getting in the habit of looking behind me at a stop light. Very very sad to the families involved.

****, this is exactly why states are banning the use of cell phones and text messaging while driving. The road should have your full attention not your next trash pickup. Sorry for the losses, and hope that those remaining here have a speedy recovery.

Damn, this is gruesome and very sad. Hopefully the three pinned under the truck died from the impact and not the fire. We worry about someone not seeing us and turning in front of us and this dipshit does not see eight bikes or the red light they are stopped at. Damn his sorry *** no matter how bad he feels. Three dead and six in critical condition. My thoughts and condolences for the riders and families and friends.
