Lets see, I just turned 52 last week and still own my first harley I bought 30 years ago, a 1967 Electra Glide.( See sig. pic.) So I guess I was 21 or 22 when I bought it for $1600 and I rode it home. I've owned at least 15 Harleys over the years but always managed to hold on to that first one!
I had my first harley at 23 (Softtail standard)
I have owned many bikes in the last 8 years, but have always been into harleys. My first bike at 22 was a yamaha Vstar. I didn't know anybetter and didn't realize that it was a piece of crap. Once i sat on my first harley, I knew there was nothing like it. I have never looked back.
Bought my 2003 dyna super glide new at age 21. Sold that one off in 06 for my 02 bagger. At age 29 with a hot rodder bagger I love handing the local kids their ***'s on their rockets from light to light, hiking the front tire off the ground and grinding the floor boards every chance I get. In southern wisconsin there are plenty of young people on harley's you just won't find them at the local hog meetings. Hoping to help change the lack of a younger crowd in the local hog chapeter though.
Yep. Had a 58 chopped 45" Flathead trike, '68 rigid Sporty I built from the ground up, and a '65 chopped rigid Pan which was an awesome first big twin. All before I turned 30.
I'm on my 8th HD in my 50's. Completely missed the Evo's. Went from a '69 Shovel I rode for 12 years to a new 2000 TC88 in 2000.
