Battery advice.....

Battery advice.....
Jumped on the 09 Heritage this morning it it wouldn't turn over. Just a weak try & loud clicks. 11.6 on the volt meter. It ran fine last week & it's always on a tender too. I put it on a charger & I will test it tonight again. I jumped on the FXST & rode to work anyway. So. if I need a battery quickly make some suggestions. Sears, HD, whatever. Whats good, easy to get tomorrow (local dealer has softail batteries on back order) & doesn't drain the wallet.

My first thought was that an 09 model would need a battery already? My bateries in all of my previous bikes had lasted at least 3 years, are you sure that nothing could have drained your battery down? Don't want you to spend money on a battery only to have it also drain down.

I'm surprised too. I'll know more tonight. It made it through the winter, nothing changed on the bike so I don't know what the problem is yet. Could be bad cell.

just check your terminals first make sure they are tight, i am not sure if you have or not, but if your readng that high it could be a loose conection
