Midevil Train,

I have lived about 500 yds from HWY 27 all my 53 years of life. A couple other flying critters to look out for are those giant red and yellow grasshoppers. I have hit a few Martins (birds) also.

Where's Hooterville florida? I'm down in Broward, just east of Holiday park, at the east end of Alligator alley. Ya also have to watch out for the buzzards eating all the dead stuff, those things dont move till the last minute. A guy killed llast year out on 27, when a buzzard caved his chest in.

Hooterville is slang for Moore Haven. Before that I lived in South Bay. Ya oughta join up with the Florida Crew sometime. We meet up and ride down your way every now and then.

I will have to do that. I do lake rides every so often. Next time I'm headed up to Roland Martins Tiki bar I'll buy ya a beer, or soda or whatever your poison is.

yes, birds hurt much worse.....

i was riding on 27 right about where mid evil is talking about when a bird hit me in the shoulder. knocked me back for a moment. i should've taken a pic of my helmet that night, it was COVERED in bugs!! needless to say i am reconsidering riding without a windshield

This time of year, down round this way, you have to de-bug your scoot anytime your out after 5 or 6 pm. But what the hell, Cafe 27 on a thursday night, is worth a few bugs.
