Well yesterday on my way home I noticed the sky getting dark ahead of me. So I pulled over and slipped on my rain gear. I got nailed by what can only be described as a gully washer. There were also several lightning strikes the pucker factor was high. For several minutes I could not see and had to pull over in a driveway.
by the way My commute is 55 miles 1 way. I can leave work or home sunny and get the other way and be in completely different weather.
Then this morning as I am heading in I get about 100 yards past some Rail road tracks and I see a flash infront of the approaching car from the other direction and all of a sudden a large doe is spinning in front of me or I should say pieces were spinning in front of me. So I held on and went over and through the carcass. As far as i can tell there is no damage to the bike just pretty messy which sucks since I cleaned it up fter the rain yesterday. Maybe I should just walk to work.
I just had the maintence guys give it a quick washdown and it looks like I got real lucky. Nothing damaged that I can tell now. I was only about 2 minutes from work when it happened.
No Venison off the pipes just blood and goo. But Bow season is just around the corner and here in Illinois we have no tag limit during bow season. It's time for Bambi to go.
Hopefully the rest of the week will be quiet. I am glad the cage hit the deer before me otherwise it would have been standing up and still in one piece.
