I have a 07 FXDWG. With V&H BBS [ half baffels] and a HD heavy breather.
Got a PCIII from Fuelmoto. Ran great, but burped once. Called Jamie and Yes He called me back with the quick and easy fix for the mods I had.
You can't beat the PC series for the $$$$$$. I love the 3 series, but hear the "V" is as good or better. I'd be hard pressed to change , even for free.

I went through this same situation last year. I ended up getting a stage one ac and pcv from fuel moto, along with the slip on se pipes I had already had. They sent the items with the map loaded. I could not be happier. It was a bit of a pain in the butt to install the pcv, not that bad, but it was a bit on the cramped side. After the install my bike ran great. I think this is really the easiest solution and I voted with my own cash. Fuel moto guys really did great by me.

If you are just going to go for the stage one and are not considering any other engine work in the future, ie: cams, big bore, etc, then I dont think any other option is as cost effective and practical.

With fuel moto providing the map for the pcv with the purchase thus eliminating any "need" for a dyno I dont feel like you can do better for the money. Are other tuners better, will they dial in your bike better, will they squish out every single ounce of power better than the pcv, probably, but that is not important to me at this stage. Perhaps if and when I ever get any engine work done I will get a tts or sert. For now I think the pcv is the perfect simple and practical solution for me.

Good luck.

Cheers,

Tom
Thanks, Tom. I have the SE slip-on now & plan to get the SE air cleaner kit. That's all I plan to do at the present time, would like it to not run so lean, run cooler, & a little more punch. If the fuel moto will do that for me, & and with a relatively easy install, I believe it's just the ticket for me.

Sorry but the 07's does have 02 sensors.....
thats the first yr for EFI on all bikes.....

bunch of F/M's out there..
I went with SERT because I didn't want a piggy back system.. and I am completely happy with it....

I've read where several of the piggy backs (PC111's) have gone bad, agree maybe a small % but still it some...

3yrs ago I though SERT was the best, now there other self tuners that are equally good or better if U change things all the time.

1 issue that the anti SERT's user's claim is always need a dyno tune after mods,,,, thats true, but if U plan right and do stg1, pipes, and cams all the same time U'll only need it once...

So far I've paid $180 for dyno tunes in three yrs
the last tune was included with the cam job free as it was part of the winter package deal.....

others play with different mods all the time and if U're that way then a self tuner will pay off in the long run....

This is exactly what I was aiming for when I bought the pcv, SE ac, and my slip ons. I am completely satisfied with the way my bikes engine runs and the throttle response I have now.

If you appreciate chrome like me, I would suggest spending the extra cash for the chrome backing plate on the se air filter if you ever want to add a little bit of extra 'pizazz' to your ac cover. I did and am glad I did.

Cheers and good luck,

Tom

Another vote for Fuel Moto. When I added True Duals (from FM) I also bought PCV. Map seemed to be dead-on and easy install.

I just bought the AT from them because I am adding cams. Only problem I have is the new map has not shown up today (2nd attempt) after talking to Jamie today. Must be my email filter, going to try and reach them again Monday.

Unless I decide to put cams in this weekend then I will violate the rules and be PM'ing him!

Seriously......I believe this is an internet glitch and they have been great for me and everyone I have read about on here. Kind of like our best "internet" tuner.

Sometimes I think people make it hard. Stage 1 install is easy. After you install Stage 1 and Slipons, you'll probably run lean, and get popping and bangs on decel (I did). Called Jamie at Fuel Moto and he set a PC5 for my specifications and the bike ran great. I had it dyno'd later and i gained about 5 more HP. Do it!
