I still look for 6, 7, 8, sometime 9 on a long trip.

I think if I road more roads that were 65-70-75 mph the 6 speed would be nice but most of my riding is in 55-65 mph roads(as if I follow speed signs hahaha)....If I get into more Interstate riding the 6th gear would be nice to have...

2008 Fat Bob, Six Speed but I don't hit sixth until about 70 mph. Otherwise I ride in the 2.5 to 3 k range

Doing the stage 1 helped this out nicely for me. Stock I couldn't use 6th under 65 without lugging, now I can drop to around 55 and get back up to speed with no downshift.

Yes, I can feel it in both directions, but it's fun to match against the actually measured data.

Come on. Harleys are made for low end torque. I could putt around town all day at 1500rpm in fifth. And the 150,000 miles on my bike prove it doesn't hurt a thing.
