Unless I absolutely have to take the cage I ride the bike. Has always been that way for me. Sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night to **** and decide....What the hell, I'm up might as well take a little ride. Done that many, many times. Wife thinks I'm nuts and maybe she's right. I just tell her...Hey I was doin it before we got married!

I was in your neck of the woods a couple weeks ago. Went to a bar called the Dog House I believe. Had a hell of a good time that night and a hell of a bad hangover the next day.

My bike is my main transportation from Mid-May through Mid/End October.
average 6k to 8k yearly. It is an '08 Softail FXSTC and it takes the load off of the '01 GMC Jimmy that I use during late fall -winter-Early Spring.

Besides it's a whole lot better riding!

The only time I don't ride mine is if I need to carry something too big, there is Ice on the road, or there is Severe weather (thunderstorms, hail, snow, etc.). Rain used to stop me, but proper rain gear solved that.

I don't do snow but ride in everything else. I don't like paying to let it sit!

Going to work I ride most of the time, if it's not raining, snowing or below freezing, more likely than not I'll be riding. Occasionally I have to carry more stuff than my bike can carry for work.
As for running errands if I don't have my son or my roomate isn't coming along I'm taking the bike.

I ride everyday. year round! Best part of living in AZ. My 2005 bike has 95,000 miles on it. My 2006 car has 15,000. Sometime I have to pick up kids or get groceries.

I commute to work on my bike, except on rainy days. Here in the snow belt, it's a waste to limit riding to weekends only. The season is too short.
