I carry a few 5/16 nuts in my vest and if someone won't get off my azz, I just drop one or two. You know crap falls off Harleys all the time. If that doesn't do it, I just pull off and let them go by. It's just a win win situation . I'd rather do what you did and in my 20's probably would but to be honest, I got too much good sh*t to lose over being stupid.
Riskyfool, you are one lucky MFer that you're not either:
1.) In jail, charged with felonious assault and battery (road rage incident).
2.) Being sued in civil court.
3.) Laying on a platter in the morgue, with a bullet in your chest.
While getting off your bike, walking up to some punk's car, then punching him and his window out would make a good scene in a movie, it's an incredibly dumb thing to do in the real world. This whole incident could have been avoided by simply pulling over, and letting the punk pass you. If this had ever gone to court, you would have been royally screwed because you escalated the situation when it very easily could have been avoided.
You should have pulled over, got the punk's license plate #, called it in to the police and reported an erratic/tailgating driver. Make the punk out to be the bad guy...not the other way around.
I've done this. The police response is "If we don't witness it we can't do anything because it's just your word against his."
This probably isn't my "legal advice" - but while it sucks to get in trouble, there are also a lot of people in the world who really need to get beat down severely. That includes everybody in those little gangsta-wannabe "ricer" type cars.

You beat me to it! The punk got what he deserved. And as for the post after yours that said he'd sue, are you fugging kidding? you run to momma and sue everybody people are the reason we have punks like that in the first place!! teach em to be MEN, not how to avoid concequences of their actions! PLEASE

Actually, it was Riskyfool and his wife's word against the punk. If the cops still wouldn't take any action, then you've done everything you can do. Move on with your life.
What's the alternative...punching the guy in the face and then punching out his window?
I'm sure I could easily articulate to a jury why I unloaded my .40 caliber Glock into the face of a lunatic that had just assaulted me, and then just punched out my window with his bare fist to continue the assault. This crazy biker was obviously trying to kill me, and I had no other options. How tough of a sell do you think that would be to a jury?
