I use the Sears Yellow jack for LIGHT wrenching and cleaning/detailing the bike.

My red Sears jack is years old, and reliable enough to hold up my cast-iron Shovelhead all winter (note - use the lock properly). Some will tell you the red one isn't that good, so get some yellow paint.

That'll show 'em.

Have a J&S and couldn't be happier. May be a little pricier than what you're looking for, though. I can now get the Silverado, Murano, Fat Boy, mower, and snow blower all in the two car garage comfortably when the weather turns. Garbage cans got demoted to behind the garage, though.

There is at least one jack thread a week. Do a search and you'll see a TON of info on this. That being said, I have a J&S and love it.

I didnt feel like internet shopping or driving across town to save $20. I went up to the corner Autozone and bought the Blue one. Not sure who makes it offhand, but it's rated at 1500 lbs and works like a champ. $99.

I have a Pitbull lift that I bought 10 years ago and am very happy with. Yes, it's pricey. Putting a $20K bike on a $99 lift just seems to me. I know a lot of people do it without problems. My Pitbull has cost me $24 a year so far, so why not?
