i have always carried at least a minimalistic tool kit in every vehicle i owned. in fact before the fire my sporty had enough tools and extras to rebuild on the shoulder of the road the only thing lacking was a torque wrench and major parts

good on you for stopping to help

Kudo's for stopping to help a fellow stranded motorcyclist. I'm sure he would NOT have done the same for a Harley rider. Years of Shovel ownership forbids my mental state from ever leaving the driveway on a motorcycle with out at least some tools in the saddlebags. Just old habit I guess.

I'm lazy i guess cause my tool kit is a cell phone and a wife that knows if I'm late for dinner there is something terribly wrong.

The bike doesn't necessarily have to break down and die to render you side of the road bound! I'd rather be able to tighten something back up for the cost of at least a minimulist CRUZ tool kit that can be carried on a belt, than have to pay for a tow. And also in Vermont, cell coverage can be real spotty and non existent. The positive aspect to that is one could get a real good workout and get to avoid the gym by pushing a 800 lb bike up all of the Vermont Mountains till you came to one of the houses about 2 miles apart as the crow flies, and find someone willing to loan you a torx, or you got cell coveage again? Oh and I forgot to mention the bonus, its black fly season in Vermont. By the time you got help, you would probably look like a big lumpy slice of swiss cheese....

I've seen folks riding all manner of bikes STOP to lend a hand... and I've seen folks on all manner of bikes, ride by

More than one HD rider passed this one guy, a block from a HD dealership...., before I stopped and helped him.... and before you surmise, they all stopped at the dealership and sent the cavalry.... I was there for a long time helping the guy.... he had no tools.... and he was a grizzled old fart of a biker....

I always carry a decent selection of tools, tire repair kit, and a 12v air pump, and really enjoy when I don't have to touch any of them. Better to have and not need, .....

Good show! Stopping to assist is paying it forward.

I always carry my CRUZ Harley Toolkit and my CRUZ Outback'r, even on the shortest of trips. (And, of course my cell phone ). Knock on wood -- haven't needed the tools or the phone -- yet.

For longer trips I take more: tire repair kit(s), CO2 gun to air up the tires, etc..
