Well, I was on my way to work this morning and once again, (same thing happened yesterday), there was a dude sitting on the side of the road with one of those Harley look alike metric cruisers, a Suzuki this time, broke down. I pulled over and it was acting like he had a dead battery. He said it was brand new so we pulled the cover to see if the cables had loosened up. He had no tools and yet all the storage in the world? I had my miinimulist CRUZ set. The battrery on that bike sits right in the front of the bike real low between the two front frame down tubes. Real PITA to get to. All was well, so I said it might help if you shut the lights off for awhile and lets see if the battery recovers enough to turn the bike over, It did and he was on his way. He said he was going to go straight to the shop to have it looked at. I suspect the charging system the way it was acting and from his description of lights going dim etc. My old girl with 135k started right up without a whimper and I was on my way as usual, she has never left me on the side of the road ever....Harley Quality!
I think the reason he didn't have tools is they usually don't brake... LOL just sayin....
On a side note though most people that ride today wouldn't know how to use the tools that they have. I am sure he had a tool kit on the bike... Probably had no clue where it was on the bike.

Yeh, I'm sure he had one as well.
Could never understand why Harleys don't even come with a simple tool kit
Mine came with a small tool kit in a rollup, not sure if that is unusual or not as this is my first HD. Most of my other bikes came with something similar that would store under the seat somewhere.
I can do pretty much anything on a Harley after more than 30 years of riding them but I have to admit to ignorance on the metrics. I can only use common sense!

While only 2 of the Harleys I have had over the years were bought new, never found any tool kit on any of them .. I do carry my own though ..
