I recently had new wheels and tires put on.. and after 45mph the front end has a slight wobble... I asked the shop if they could double check the balance, he assured me if they put it on, it's balanced...
And to check my "fork nuts" saying they are probaly what's causing the slight wobble ... He said they are the nuts that hold the whole front end onto the bike ...
Can anyone help me locate those and possibly give me a torqe spec ?
If the wheels are spoke there may be some loose spokes or the alignment of them are not right. Still it is the dealers problem and he needs to make it right. If they are not spoke you might get the balance checked some other place. Ck with BBB about the dealers rating. Does it wobble above 45 mph? Could be the fork pressure is not right either.
I don't know where the fork nuts are located. Sorry.

OK, if the tire was not balanced properly it would probably hop not wobble. If it wobbles now I would ask is it the same tire as the one that came off? Some front tires and rear tires do not match up well together. Also check the pressure, is that correct? What is the riding surface? Is the wobble caused by rain grooves? Was anything done to the rear? The factory on my ( metric not real familiar with Harleys yet ) frames would have alignment marks for the rear tire and chain adjustment, but, they would not be correct. Meaning the rear tire could be out of alignment. As I understand, many Harleys are not aligned the front tire with the rear, are yours out of speck? Just a few things to consider. Noname

Sounds like he took it to an indy. Have him test ride it. Could be a bad wheel, tire, improper balancing or it's not mounted properly or something else. Good Luck!
