I used a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer with rear ramp door as my 'garage' for 2 years, worked well.

If you're in a city, look into renting a garage. That's what I have to do for my bike in Chicago.

You can keep it at my house. Only 500 short miles away. Just come over when you want to ride it, it will probably be there (but out of gas).

It will be tight with the other bikes already in there, but that's just the nice kind of guy I am.

You mean to tell me you purchased a Harley with no ample protection available for it at all? You didnt even try to put it in the living room? Hand over your man card right now!
Just kidding man, you can actually build a pretty nice shed for it for less than $500 closed in. Actually, it can be less than that. Just go to your local Home Depot, or Lowes, and ask if they have any "cull lumber". Most asuredly there will be a few 4x4's and 2x6's available. Usually those guys sell their cull for about 10 cents on the dollar. The main cost will be your sides and the roof. Again, they usually will mark down broken open packages of shingles to about half price. For a 10x10 building with an average pitch roof, you would only need about six bundles of shingles. I would not buy treated plywood for the sides, as it bows up really quick. Look for the barn siding that may have some broken corners, or chips in it. (Think wood filler here with the chips, you are going to have to paint it anyway.)

Hell, I built a 30x16 deck on the back of my house for less than $400 and it looks pretty damn good.

Default Cycle Shell?

Love my Cycle Shell. For winter hibernation, she goes down the cellar.

Most every town has someone who sells the metal carports. You can get a 20 x 20 for under a grand, all steel. So maybe 6 or 700 should get you a 12 x 12 or so. Don't let the bike get weathered, find a way to come up with some protection, you will regret it on down the line if you don't.

Enjoy the new ride, RD.

Uhh? Ahh? Can't you cry about the dealer and claim this under warranty?
