you're a better man than me.
glad you were able to ride away.
my guess is that this guy is such a dickwadassclown of sorts that he probably places his own cell phone in an area where there is no reception on a regular basis anyways.
Glad you are ok, and you definitely did the right thing. Although I probably would not have. I think even if I had kept myself calm enough not to beat him senseless (which would not take much), I probably would have grabbed the phone out of his hands and used his own phone to call 911 and wait for the cops while he is sitting in the road facing the wrong way. At least he should get a moving violation out of it, and the cops will probably politely let him know he is lucky he didn't get his a$$ handed to him for pulling a stunt like that.
Hell, yeah! Lucky he had good skills and remained calm enough to think it through!
There are some seriously f**ked up people in cages that should never have been given a license.
Don't assume they have a license. You would not believe how many traffic court cases are unlicensed drivers who've caused accidents. They don't have insurance or any money, either.
Excellent job of analyzing and takign action! Who the hell would ever anticipate THAT kinda maneuver from one of these idiots??? That's a real doozy - uturn on a one way street? Where the F(*$ is he thinking he's gonna go on a one way street???
Excellent self control for not dragging him out and beating him to death.
Sadly the law would have your *** in a jam if you did anything. It's easy to talk tough at a keyboard, but, you did the right thing. I am glad you're safe. Good job. Noname
I'm with the others saying you did the right thing. No one really knows what prompted the guy to try a U turn and if he really was/is a jerk busting his nose would do nothing more than bring an assault charge down on you. I'll wager that not more than maybe one of the keyboard commandos would have actually followed through on their threat to beat the crap out of the guy. I'll let them fight amongst themselves to decide which one.
