Anybody else have this helmet and shield?
I am now, if i buy another, on my 3rd shield.
My first shield flew off on the expressway....
i was prolly going a lil too fast.... just up and away it went...
I was on my Deuce at this time, no shield, etc...
chalk it up to me and improper usage????
Bought a second one... was on my road glide... doing 75.. flew right off.. no warning, no sounds, wobbles.... whooosh.. up and gone like it was taking off....
So, do i have an issue with the helmet shield combo? are they no good for hwy usage? Any body else have any experiences, good or bad?
I've had two Fulmer helmets in the last few years and both of them were crap. One half and one full face. Their materials and designs suck, but of course you don't know that until you're out on the hiway. I have two Scorpions now and I love them, best helmets I've ever had.
I've got two Fulmer helmets now. I've had my FF for about a year and I like it just fine but it was getting too hot and heavy for 90 degree plus days so two weeks ago I bought a Fulmer 3/4. About half the weight and has air vents that are true flow through vents in several places. I like it a lot.
Oh, I took the shield off on both of them. I just don't care for shields, I'm more a shades guy.
yeah, i knew, know fulmers are cheap...
just love the retro bobber style, look of the V2..
I also have a few scorpion helmets.. love emm..
Seems it might be lesson learned..
I shot them an email.. asking roughly the same things here.. see what kind of reply i get back...
Was thinking this morning that I needed to order a bubble shield for my Fulmer V2 for my trip to Sturgis this year. I do have a Windvest shield on the deuce which keeps the major windblast off my head so maybe it won't fly off at higher speeds. Lost my first flip up shield for my Fulmer two years ago. Not a wind thing, just lost it out of my travel bag. Took a full face Shoei to Sturgis last year and when the hail storm hit I was thankful I was wearing it.
Before everyone goes into panic mode over Fulmer helmets, I have a Fulmer V2 Bobber and it's my favorite. The problem with the face shield is that Fulmer only placed three snaps above the brow, none on the cheek sides, which would have gone a long way in securing the shield. I don't use a shield, so this isn't an issue for me.
dont get me wrong.. i love the helmet....
fit, style... everything...
just wondering if anyone else had a bubble shield issue...
it may just be my helmet..
but on my deuce.. i had no wind protection..... gone...
on my Road Glide.....
All the wind protection..... gone...
the only 2 constants,,,,,
the same helmet...
shields..... gone...
I agree the snaps on the side would have prolly been a good idea..
it seems like a good fit... each time they left me...no warnings.. not one button popping... not a rattle.... nothing..
Just all 3 at one time,,, up, over and away...
Wont be really getting rid of the helmet...
i like it too much!
