I might be wrong,, but I'm thinking unless you modified your mill or significantly (did I spell that right?) changed the air intake/exhaust, ya probably don't need one? I mean,, they''re kinda cool to hook your computer to and impress the the dorky neighbors and stuff,, ,make ya look like a geeky motorbike tech,, but I think that's about the most gain you will get outta it. If ya got $300 burnin a hole in your pocket, go the harley shop and get yourself a leather doo rag thing and harley coffee cup,, that should take care of the 3 bennies.

the power commander III made my '08 Fatty come alive. I also added the Screamin' Eagle air intake and Rush slip-on mufflers.
some of the best $240 I spent. check with Jamie (FuelMoto) he'll hook you up. they are HDF supporters.

yes, you will get more benefit if you add pipes and ac, but you can still get some benefit leaving the motor otherwise stock.

My Power Commander made a big difference in the way my bike responded. It woke it up, and helped it to run cooler. Plus coulpled with the SE hi-flow air cleaner (K & N) and my Vance & Hines BSS I gained 5 HP as well, after Dyno. In MHO worth every penny.
